Job Description/Packer Driver

Browne Trading Company, a local small seafood business located in downtown Portland, is seeking a Packer/Driver to add to our team.

We are seeking an experienced and safety-minded staff member who will be performing two positions depending on demand. This combined position includes driving a Browne Trading vehicle to either pick up or deliver products and packing products in our production area.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, experience driving a 24’ truck, and a record of professional service to the community. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Production Support portion of the position will be responsible for supporting the production team by packing products for shipment and cleaning and sanitation of the seafood processing area.

The Driver portion of the position will be responsible for daily pickups in Boston and Logan Airport and back Monday through Friday. This route may change to local deliveries to the greater Portland area depending on demand. When there is no demand to drive, this position will work in the production room packing seafood products and preparing them for shipping.

Skill Set:

Be able to lift 50 pounds.

Have previous experience.

Dependability & Flexibility.

Be able to drive a truck over short distances.

Know how to load and unload a truck.

You will be trained in pallet lifts

Be able to prevent accidents when driving.

Clean driving record.

Hours will vary depending on which position you will be filling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
