POSITION SUMMARY: As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from initiation to completion.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and effective leadership to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Planning – develop detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Team Leadership – lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
Assign tasks and responsibilities, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Resource Management – Allocate and manage resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and materials.
Monitor resource usage and adjust plans to ensure project success.
Risk Management – Identify potential risk and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage risk throughout the project life cycle.
Stakeholder Communication – Regularly communicate with project stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations.
Address concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance – Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
Implement testing and quality control measures to meet specifications.
Budget and Timeline Management – Develop and manage project budgets, making adjustments as necessary.
Create and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress against timelines.
Problem Solving – Address issues and challenges promptly, implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Documentation – Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Archive project documentation in accordance with company policies.
Project Closure – Conduct thorough project reviews, including lessons learned analyses.
Ensure final documentation is completed and archived appropriately.
Basic Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Proven experience managing the development of new products in a highly technical environment (minimum 3 years). Turbomachinery specific experience is preferred, but not required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Ability to balance technical requirements with project constraints effectively.
Hands on - willingness to jump in and help fellow engineers and technicians with assembly, testing, and/or data collection.
Must be a US citizen or green card holder.
