Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join a leading Structural Engineering Firm in Memphis, TN.

Responsibilities:

Conduct structural analyses and inspections of residential, commercial, industrial, and historical buildings.

Prepare detailed construction documents, including calculations, drawings, and specifications using relevant design software (experience with REVIT is highly desired)

Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success.

Provide clear and concise recommendations for repairs and renovations.

Participate in site visits and construction reviews to verify code compliance and quality of construction (hands-on experience with wood construction is a plus).

Stay up-to-date with the latest building codes and industry standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Tennessee or actively pursuing licensure.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering.

Proven experience with structural analysis software (REVIT experience strongly preferred)

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
