AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT INSTALLER/TECHNICIAN

Midwest Petroleum Equipment is looking for an Auto Installer/Technician based in Sioux Falls, SD. This position will be responsible for installing, repairing, and servicing a variety of light-duty and heavy-duty equipment including automotive lifts, lube systems and air compressors. We install and service a wide range of vehicle service equipment for auto dealerships, service garages, private fleets, and municipal service operations.

Applicants must be self-starters that can operate independently with minimal supervision. The perfect candidate is mechanically inclined and takes pride in delivering quality work to our customers.

We also need to find someone with a good sense of humor who wants to grow with a company that takes care of its employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repair and install light-duty and heavy-duty automotive lifts and lube systems.

Repair and install air compressors, air dryers and tire machines/changers.

Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in common terms.

Monitor and be accountable for accuracy of inventory.

Present self in a professional manner and arrive promptly to service calls.

Additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in a similar role or possession of transferrable skills required.

General mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.

Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.

Willingness to learn terminology and processes of the industry.

High level of attention to detail and urgency.

Able to climb, lift 50lbs. and pass the DOT physical exam.

At least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

The Automotive Installer/Technician position is full-time, working Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position is based in the Sioux Falls, SD area.
