Community Services for Children is Seeking individual with strong leadership skills for a rewarding career as an ELRC STAR Quality Coach to support the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC). The position is responsible for providing technical assistance, training, education, and support to Early Learning Programs in individual and small group learning formats to engage full participation in Keystone Stars Quality Rating system. The Quality Coach works to assist programs to move from one level to higher quality levels using effective coaching practices. The position is responsible for coordinating work with provider specialists, to ensure a full service, integrated approach to improving both access to and quality of early learning for children. Work Environment:

A $1,000 monetary incentive will be paid to newly employed Community Services for Children staff members. The $1,000 payout will be paid upon successful completion of probation.

Job Description:

Promotes the values and benefit of full participation in Keystone Stars, and Child Care Works programs throughout the region, soliciting involvement.

Recognizes the unique strengths of each early childhood entity, and builds a positive, reflective, collaborative relationship, providing all necessary supports for achievement of highest quality ratings.

Works collaboratively with Provider Specialists and Family Specialists to integrate programming and ensure efficient, comprehensive communication with families and providers.

Offers referrals to programs that will support business sustainability, advancement and improved services.

Assists in collecting and developing resources to assist programs to meet the STAR standards.

Develops weekly, monthly and annual plan that includes; anticipated designations/renewals, community events, Supervision Conferences, and Staff Meetings.

Position provides a flexible schedule with the opportunity to work as a teleworker, and requires extensive travel to visit providers daily.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in social work, early education or related field and 5 years of proven experience in Early Learning programs.

Technical Assistance and PQAS Certified or ability to become certified

Strong analytical and planning skills.

Technological skills – ability to utilize various data management systems.

Effective interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work with individuals with varying economic, educational and cultural backgrounds.

Valid driver’s license and use of car to travel throughout ELRC regions, or attend out of area conferences and meetings.

Understand all ELRC program components and the interconnections of these services.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
