GIS/Land Survey Technician

Insight Global’s Evergreen Division is looking for a GIS/Land Survey Technician to join our remote sensing team. You will support the 10K Undergrounding program, as well as the South Valley Transmission team. You will be mainly responsible for data extraction from Lidar point clouds utilizing TopoDOT or similar software. Other responsibilities include:

Experience with survey software:

Utilize your expertise in survey software for data extraction, analysis, and processing.

Work with point cloud data, LiDAR, and other geospatial information.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems):

Use GIS software for spatial analysis, mapping, and data visualization.

Measurement and Mapping

Boundary and Topographical Surveys

Data Collection and Analysis

Effective Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate with supervisors, inspectors, and other departments to relay status, situations, and instructions.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and other personnel.

BA/BS Degree from in Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Engineering, or other related discipline.

4+ years of experience with geospatial information. or point cloud data, or LiDAR

Experience doing data extraction with a surveying software

Land survey background/understanding

Survey base mapping experience

Willingness to learn

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Works well independently but able to develop collaborative relationships
