Harmony Senior Services is hiring a Regional Director of Operations to support a portfolio of senior living communities located in VA.

This is a remote position requiring frequent travel.

The ideal candidate will reside in one of the above-listed states within the assigned portfolio.

The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) shall have the responsibility for the direct day-to-day oversight of the operation and management of a regional sector of Harmony Senior Living communities. The RDO will be responsible for assisting each community and Harmony with establishing sales and revenue goals for the communities in the portfolio and providing strategies to achieve those goals. This role will assist with annual HSS budgets and make recommendations regarding the allocation of community resources and any adjustments that may be needed.

In addition, the RDO is responsible for ensuring that strategic goals established are communicated and implemented accurately and effectively to management teams in the field.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operations:

Champion the values and culture of Harmony Senior Services while fostering an environment that makes customer service a top priority

Evaluate operational issues to determine whether HSS is remaining competitive in the market and staying current with the latest trends in senior care delivery

Serve as an intermediary between the company’s top executives and executive Directors in the field

Develop and implement strategic and tactical operating plans for senior care markets

Establish operational initiatives for improvement in the delivery of quality care, cost controls, safety, regulatory compliance, and employee relations

Work closely with all Executive Directors and ensure their competency and efficiency

Responsible for meeting the quality, operational, and profit goals for a designated portfolio of communities

Demonstrate knowledge of HSS mission, vision, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior

Ensure that each community is maintaining or exceeding budgeted census, revenue generation, and expense controls

Assist with the development of marketing campaigns and formulation of budgets to achieve marketing goals

Monitor external markets to identify new opportunities within existing markets

Other duties as assigned

Financial Management:

Develop long-range goals for communities that align with the strategic growth plans of the company

Help to identify key strategic financial relationships vital to HSS growth and stability

Ensure that new HSS communities are efficiently and effectively made operational

Prepare presentations for various audiences, including executive management teams, financial institutions, and managers in the field when requested

Regulatory Management:

Broad understanding of all local/state/federal regulations and awareness of relevant changes and updates

Participate in professional/industry organizations to stay abreast of local/state/federal issues/trends

Assist communities with the state survey process and participate in plans of correction as needed

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years experience working at an executive level in the senior care industry

Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or healthcare administration required

Must currently hold an administrative license for at least one state in which they oversee and be willing and able to obtain another license in other states as needed or required

A demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve success through management of others

Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level

Ability to assign and delegate work, and evaluate results of performance

Ability to be flexible, travel to various HSS communities and adapt to the constant change in schedule

Ability to effectively communicate with HSS Senior Leadership, owners, investors, co-workers and customers

Ability to interact effectively with Executive Director in order to direct workflow, assess performance, and assign duties

Ability to develop strategic plans for growth within the senior marketplace

Ability to use Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
