Night Shift 6:30pm - 6:30am (2-2-3 Shift Pattern )

We are working with an established printing company based in Greenwood, IN. They are recruiting for a Machine Shop Supervisor to join their team on Night Shift in return for flexible pay along with excellent employment benefits which include Healthcare, Vision and Dental insurance, PTO and 401k match.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Understands, follows, and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.

Follows shift work schedule to ensure work is completed on time.

Maintains a supportive and productive work atmosphere through professional conduct and effective communication with internal and external customers, including vendors, coworkers, subordinates, and other supervisors.

Resolves all production and resulting quality problems that occur on the shift.

Responsible for frequent checks of product quality.

Accountable for providing shift documentation on decisions, shift issues, actions and status updates for the shift.

Responsible for reviewing and authorizing proper time records for all employees on the shift.

Manages temporary staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives.

Manages machine utilization to meet or exceed efficiency goals and recommends or directs necessary personnel, maintenance or engineering changes to help achieve those goals.

Ensures machinery run at optimum cycle.

Analyzes technician adjustment logs.

Prepares Daily Production Report.

Consults with Quality Assurance Lead regarding substandard production.

Provides feedback to Production Manager.

Coordinates rework when necessary.

Ensures company Illness and Injury Prevention Program is followed.

Directs technicians regarding set-up and adjustment assignments.

Proactively notifies the maintenance department of problems and safety hazards.

Other duties as assigned by Production Manager

May be required to come in early and /or leave past the end of the shift to complete end of shift reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience working with the follow materials: PET, PVC, PPO, HDPE & LDPE

Experience working with extrusion head programming systems and extrusion head equipment is required and must include experience calibrating Servo values and LVDTs of extrusion head programming systems, troubleshooting and repairing extrusion head programming systems, and cleaning of extrusion heads.

Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and production changeover of Nissei (ISBM machines), Bekum and/or Sinco (Shuttle type continuous extrusion machines) is required.

Detailed knowledge of and experience working with ISBM tooling, including the full breakdown and repair of hot runner, injection, conditioning, and blowing systems.

Detailed knowledge of and experience working with EBM tooling, including blow mold breakdown and repair, identifying critical components and dimensions of mold parts.
