As a Sr Systems Engineer you will:

Be responsible for developing products in compliance with Sanden and customer requirements.

This role will include HVAC / system component (HVAC / HX / ITMS) development, design, testing, and reporting with engineering theory/logic.

This role will also include training for other engineers and staff.

Other responsibilities include technical support for projects related to manufacturing.

Execute product development by achieving technical goals.

Achieve technical goals and tasks with PDCA for product development.

Develop engineering solutions for suppliers and cross-functional members to meet required needs.

Develop engineering laboratory testing methods and equipment.

Coach/mentor engineers and other staff based on expertise.

Achieve departmental execution plans and goals for product development.

Ability to develop new concept design products.

Develop engineering solutions for customers, suppliers, and cross-functional members to meet required needs.

Achieve design consensus by resolving technical issues globally.

Coach / mentor engineers and other staff for Design Engineering growth based on expertise.

Work with other Sanden locations to ensure product designs are consistent.

Provide technical support to internal customers.

Conduct a technical feasibility study for new product configuration.

Support / participate in project team(s) as engineering expert.

Other projects as assigned by management.

Establish engineering reports independently.

Establish technical presentation material for internal and external customers as needed.

Responsible for awareness and compliance with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Contributing to the effectiveness of the EHS policies and procedures by communicating and reporting unsafe conditions and/or non-compliance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (BSME preferred)

BSME or MSME in Mechanical Engineering

Travel Requirements: · 0 – 10% domestic and 0 – 5% international to countries such as but not limited to Japan, Mexico

Minimum 5 years’ experience System Engineering in Heat exchange or Blower Fan HVAC

Experience with 2D and 3D CAD

Experience with CFD simulation

Knowledge of thermodynamics and the refrigeration system

Heat Exchanger or Blower Fan design experience

Experience with the automotive development process and tools such as: DFMEA DRBFM D/P VP&R DV / PV testing etc.

Strong technical communication skills

Work Environment/Hours: Primary work area is in an office setting as well as a lab environment. · Must work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekends (as needed)

Preferred Qualifications:

BSME

8 plus years of experience

Licenses or Certifications: · EPA-608, EPA-609 are desired.
