Summary: The Foundry Supervisor is responsible for all activities related to the foundry. This position manages, coordinates and ensures manufacturing short and long-term goals are achieved within designated timelines.

We are currently looking for a results-oriented Foundry Supervisor with at least five (5) years of recent relevant experience in running a highly efficient Foundry. This person will have a dramatic impact on implementing new process and procedures in regards to management of projects and work orders. Direct maintenance of all Foundry equipment; inventory and accessories in the Foundry area by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Maintain and give updates to the shops production schedule.

Communicate all work in progress and inform upper management of potential problems with agreed deadlines.

Work with the planning team to establish work schedule which reflects the shop capacity.

Coach and train operators to make quality parts, safely.

Provide training in production, in-process quality inspection, material handling, equipment safety, and hazardous materials.

Plan jobs and preventive maintenance to fully utilize the foundry resources, and monitor employees and equipment to ensure they are running at optimal efficiencies.

Sort and dispense of non-conforming materials in accordance with established Quality Control guidelines.

Increase production and quality, decrease scrap, and constantly improve processes.

Continuous process improvement, lean, 5S

Provides additional support to the department as needed.

Experience

Strong people manager with a proven record of team building

Proven ability to influence and drive measurable results

Strong leadership skills including the ability to prioritize

Experience with IBM AS-400, Infor XA
