Fab Facilities Engineer/Equipment Engineer

The Role

In order to support growth and increase in manufacturing capacity, Entegris is looking for an experienced Fab Facility/Equipment Engineer to join our team in Colorado. This engineer will be directly responsible for conceptualization, design, and implementation of VOC abated minienvironments within manufacturing facilities. This is an innovative role that will be supporting new factory and equipment design from VOC abatement perspective and implementation of such systems. This role will entail researching and developing new and Innovative Technologies and systems to be implemented within Entegris facilities to enhance contamination controls and drive down VOC presence in state-of-the-art manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do:

Mechanical Design and Support of the following systems

Point of Use Abatement Systems for manufacturing and assembly Equipment

Cleanroom Mechanical Systems including Fan Filter Units (FFUs) with chemical filtration

Cleanroom Systems including Raised Floor, Walls, Air Circulation and Purification

Make-Up Air and Air Handler Systems including FCUs

Direct Expansion (DX) air handling systems

General Exhaust

Scrubbed Acid and Caustic Exhaust Abatement

Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Abatement

System Design Responsibilities

Owner Project Design Requirements

Manufacturing Equipment Utility Demands

System Design Capacity vs Demand Analysis

Space Management Considerations

Sustainability Considerations

System Sequence of Operation

Process Flow Diagrams

Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams

Collaboration with existing site operations and maintenance teams for design input

Permitting and Building Code compliance related to mechanical systems and associated infrastructure

Ensure developed designs are standardized and ready for use for future design projects

Project Support Activities

Submittal Review and Approval

Timely Request for Information (RFI) resolution

Alternate equipment selection approval

Site visits and verification of design

Supplier Responsibilities – One responsibility of this role will be contracting with external design firms for additional support.

Design Scope Statement of Work

Project management of design scopes

Financial responsibilities managing design scope budget

Technological Innovation

Develop new strategies of implementing systems to improve reliability, cost, and construction efficiencies

Involvement and Participation in contamination control forums at Entegris

What We Seek:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience required

5 years or more experience in Semiconductor Facilities and/or Equipment design

Over 8 years’ experience in Facilities industry involving HVAC and/or clean room systems

Ability to manage and direct technicians and contractors as well as coordinate multiple design and contractor disciplines on a variety of projects

Independent, self-motivated and with high standard of professional integrity

Candidate must demonstrate strong safety leadership and stewardship as well as exhibit skills and competencies to drive success with critical facility systems

Should have excellent facilitation and communication skills necessary to interface with business partners, external suppliers, team members, technologists and peers. Must be able to build and maintain strong, positive and lasting relationships through collaboration

Applicant should also have the following skills: leadership, effective communications, organizational, presentation and problem solving

Flexibility to travel internationally

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD

Able to create construction drawings, details, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), etc.

Familiarity with mechanical and fire codes
