Remote (Los Angeles Candidates will be given preference)

The primary job tasks are mainframe batch job scheduling using CA-Scheduler, midrange batch job scheduling using JAMS, defining users to the mainframe using ACF2. They should have working knowledge of TSO, JCL, CA-Scheduler, ACF2, GoAnywhere, JAMS and mainframe utilities.

Job Summary Statement:

As a member of the IT Services Mainframe Systems team, the Associate Production Support Analyst provides diverse technical services in support of mission-critical enterprise mainframe applications that support business operations for the campus. Primary responsibilities include provisioning access to critical system and application resources, creation, modification and deletion of system and user accounts, in addition to administering file and database access rule changes. The Associate Production Support Analyst also supports the campus Distributed Administrative Computing Security System (DACSS), mainframe application release management and job scheduling functions including granting and removing of functions that control user access to enterprise applications. Works in close collaboration with IT Services application developers, data center operations team, Department Security Administrators (DSAs), and also participates in the campus DACSS Workgroup. Additional responsibilities may include documentation of standard procedures, supporting application testing efforts, software product patching and upgrades and general customer support. The Associate Production Support Analyst may work after hours as needed or assigned.

Required Experience

Minimum of two years of experience providing production support for IBM z/OS mainframe and associated tools including JCL, ISPF, and system utilities (e.g. IEBCOPY and IEBGENER).

Basic knowledge and experience of z/OS security administration using CA-ACF2, CA-Scheduler, JAMS and GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer (or similar tools).

Ability and willingness to provide technical support after-hours as assigned or requested.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (or related) OR two years of relevant professional experience and training.

Possess the verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization; ability to use standard English grammar and punctuation.

Ability to effectively utilize common office productivity software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and internet browsers.

Ability to develop and maintain collaborative professional relationships with functional and technical staff at all levels.
