Senior SRE to SRE Leader - Data Infrastructure

Glocomms has partnered with a leading social media platform with over 2.5B monthly users worldwide, seeking multiple Senior SRE's & SRE leaders to join their data infrastructure team. This team is a pioneer in innovation. We seamlessly merge software development and infrastructure operations to design, build, and manage large-scale, highly distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

Engage in and improve every phase of the service journey, starting from conception and design, through to development, capacity planning, launch assessments, deployment, operation, and fine-tuning.

Create and deploy software platforms and monitoring frameworks to oversee service-oriented architecture (SOA) effectively, autonomously, and smartly.

Craft and oversee elements of cloud-managed data infrastructure, incorporating technologies like Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, Flink, and others.

Take charge of crafting stability strategies, handling technical challenges, streamlining system operations, leveraging product tools for scalable resolutions, and staying abreast of industry developments to offer tailored stability solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

Proficient in coding using one of the following Languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or Rust

Well-versed in Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems

Proficiency in MySQL, Redis, Nginx, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, among others

Background in designing and evaluating large-scale distributed systems

Expertise in cost optimization, resource management, infrastructure planning, a structured and product-focused approach, along with demonstrated capabilities in project management and data structure and analysis
