A commercial services company in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new IT Specialist.
Responsibilities:
The IT Specialist will:
Oversee hardware & related software security and configuration functions to meet business needs
Assist in providing critical support for supported mission critical business applications
Perform analysis and provide primary issue resolution for assigned resources and projects
Coordinate with software vendors when relevant
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
Periodically perform data cleansing activities in the applicable databases
Develop reports, dashboards and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
Troubleshoot as needed in and out of the office.
Site visits when needed to troubleshoot
Setup desktop, desk phones, cell phones, laptops, iPads as needed for new employees
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working in support of facilities maintenance and security business
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques
Solid background in personal computer hardware repair and/or troubleshooting
Knowledgeable in computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks
Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11
Experience with Microsoft Teams, One Drive, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Azure
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Apps (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Experience with Active Directory configuration, printer server management, LAN and WAN networks.
Knowledge of diagnostic utilities and other research tools for troubleshooting and issue resolution
Customer service oriented
Desired Skills:
Experience with Mobile Device Management (VMware Workspace One)
Experience with programming languages and/or PowerShell
Prior experience of software deployment, management processes, and/or vendor management
