School Counselor

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment organization that places with aspiring and experienced educators in K-12 Independent Schools nationwide, and in the Philadelphia area.

We are currently seeking School Counselors for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

Counselor students in a K-12 environment

Meet 1:1 and in small groups with students

Monitor students during breaks (lunch, recess, break time)

Lead, provide, and supervise extracurricular activities after school

Collaborate with teachers and assistant teachers

Observe State childcare regulations and school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Master's degree in school counseling required

Experience in a K-12 school setting

Warm, caring demeanor

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage time and carry out multiple tasks assigned

Understands and respects K-12 aged students and their needs

Strong management skills

Ability to problem solve and demonstrate initiative

First Aid and CPR certifications (the school may allow these to be acquired after hiring)
