Summary: The Quality Technician I Will Provide quality support for materials, manufacture, and test. The Quality Tech II position provides support under limited supervision and can support some activities as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides quality control support to ensure that purchased materials are inspected to and meet company quality requirements.

Verifies and reports quality standards, and quality control instructions are utilized by manufacturing.

Performs tests and inspections to assess quality levels of products.

Supports analysis of processes

Ensures all products adhere to marking and labeling requirements per company policy, procedures, and related government regulations as provided by engineering.

Apply testing procedures for parts of sub-assemblies received from outside vendors.

Assist with failure analysis and root case corrective actions.

Provide support on quality projects.

Work independently with moderate supervision.

Coordinate with manufacturing to determine priorities in RI and process inspection.

General and Communication Skills:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Read and interpret engineering drawings of complex mechanical or electrical components.

Interpret and record inspections results.

Use mechanical or electrical inspections tools, instruments, and devices.

Add, subtract, multiply in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.

Prioritize work in accordance with manufacturing needs.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Computer Skills:

Microsoft 365,

Familiar with any ERP/MRP preferred.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

Physical Demands:

This position must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets, copiers, scanners, etc. The person in this position constantly operates a computer, copier, and calculator. This position must be able to frequently communicate with vendors and colleagues via email and phone.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2+ years of quality control or related work experience preferred.
