Sr. Manager – Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Manager, EHS reports to the SVP Quality & Regulatory Affairs and will provide leadership and coaching to promote a Zero Harm Safety culture to create a workplace free of recognized hazards, promote safe work behaviors, and foster a lean safety across the company.

This is a hands-on role and a key leadership position in the CCT organization. In this role you will be responsible for defining and implementing a standardized EHS program, including the organization structure to support a global organization. As the Sr. Manager, EHS, the scope of responsibility includes Training, Hazard Identification, Regulatory Reporting, and administration of the EHS program. In addition, as the Sr. Manager, EHS you are responsible for continuous improvement of the EHS program and for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Work directly with Operations, Human Resources, Quality, and other functional areas to develop the EHS strategy for a growing and global organization.

· Plan, develop and implement effective safety training for new employee orientation and annual required training.

· Assist in conducting training for employees and contractors regarding applicable EHS programs and procedures.

· Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices int eh workplace through process safety reviews (PSR) and job safety analysis (JSA).

· Conduct EHS audits, create reports and collaborate with cross functional leaders to drive closure of audit findings.

· Oversee EHS incident investigations and root cause, corrective action activities.

· Maintain knowledge of new regulations and standards as they are introduced and/or change within industry.

· Track, report and communicate progress regarding EHS initiatives.

· Perform risk assessment of all incoming new materials, develop SDSs for CCT products and manage/maintain the on-line SDS platform.

· Manage and coordinate all hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal programs.

· Coordinate all regulatory reporting (EPA, DEP, etc.) for CCT.

· Define resource requirements to support eh EHS strategy

· Complete ESG surveys

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field with 7-10 years of EHS experience.

· Associate degree with minimum 12 years direct EHS experience

· Working knowledge of and proven experience in OSHA and EPA compliance in a manufacturing setting.

· Working knowledge of Quality Management System standards (i.e., ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, IATF 16949).

· Proven experience as an “influence” leader

· Proven EHS auditing experience

· Motivated self-started with ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

· Skilled problem solver, specifically related to EHS issues and 3rd party audit findings.

· Ability to multitask and collaborate with associates at all levels of the organization (up, down and across the organization).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to be physically active (lifting, standing, bending, reaching, etc.) and ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally and less weight frequently.

· Ability to travel domestically – 20-30%; International travel may be required.
