A new, ambitious, stealth biotech company has been launched and successfully funded by one of the top venture firms in the industry. This Boston-based company has a new delivery platform technology for novel, targeted and ground-breaking therapeutics for various indications.

Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Oligonucleotide team as Research Associate/ Associate Scientist in the Great Boston Area (Watertown, MA). The individual will contribute to the development of our new drug delivery platform and to our clinical program pipeline. The candidate will be a motivated and curious researcher, with willingness to learn about numerous areas of oligonucleotide synthesis and purification.

The successful candidate will contribute to the synthesis, purification and characterization of oligonucleotides to support our research platform. The individual will work in a highly cross-functional team and will have an opportunity to make significant impact across the whole organization. The position demands excellent communication skills, can-do-now attitude, and the ability to embrace our fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities:

oligonucleotides by UV-spectroscopy for in-vitro and in-vivo studies using developed procedures;

and normalize solutions of RNA duplexes using liquid handler according to SOP;

the team to synthesize and deprotect oligonucleotides;

duplex integrity by gel-electrophoresis;

inventory of raw materials, consumables and oligonucleotides;

the team to develop and evaluate novel procedures.

Essential Skills:

to follow protocols, SOPs and safety practices.

to interact with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills:

with UV measurements using Nanodrop, plate readers, etc.

with liquid handlers: Tecan, Integra, Andrew+, etc.

on experience with oligonucleotide or peptide synthesis and characterization.

Qualifications:

(1-5 years of experience), or M.S. (1-3 years of experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields.

title will be commensurate with experience.
