Junior Data Center Technician

A financial firm is looking for a Junior Data Center Technician to join their team in Chicago, IL.

Compensation: $100-150k

The ideal candidate will have plenty of experience repairing computers and racking equipment. A significant portion of this position will be focused on coordinating installations and repairs at remote sites with external vendors, so discipline, attention to detail, and organization are paramount.

Requirements:

- Open to working shift work:

Tuesday- Thursday, mostly normal hours (9am-5pm, roughly)

Fridays and Saturdays—Majority of work done in these days, majority Friday night through early morning Saturday

- Familiarity of computers and general server hardware knowledge

- Experience in data center coordination is not required

- Both basic server and networking troubleshooting skills

- Being highly organized is a requirement, as this role will be managing multiple projects at

once

- Former experience in the FinTech sector is not a requirement, nor is it preferred

- No specific degree is required for this role

- This is an in-office role

Previous military experience preferred
