Sr Engineer

We are network research team in the network infrastructure group of Alibaba Cloud Infrasutructure Service. The AIS aims to build reliable and fast infrastructure service for Alibaba cloud service and the AIS is serving for over one million customers over this world. The network research team is responsible for building cutting edge techniques to improve the performance and reliability of network infrastructure, and has published many top-tier conference papers in the field of networking, such as SIGCOMM and NSDI.

You will work with our full time employees, who published at least one SIGCOMM-level paper and has multi-year system research experience, and produce a novel system efforts capable of not only addressing our real problem but also being deployed in our network. Your output should include two parts: 1. one or more top-tier conference paper, and 2 a workable system deployed to improve the performance or reliability of our network (not just a prototype)

Minimum qualification

- strong system programming skill

- professional in both Chinese and English

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,800 and $216,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
