Eliassen Group is supporting one of our large government integrators in the search for a Platform Team Lead. This position will be a 6-month contract to hire opportunity and 100% remote, however candidate must be available for scrum meetings on EST time.

Due to the sensitive nature of this position's work our client will only hire candidates who are willing and able to maintain a clearance (Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have reside primarily in the U.S. for the past 3 years).

Expectation:

• This is a hands-on team leadership role with over 75% of time involving in coding using various coding disciplines.

• Must have experience leading teams and mentoring team mates to help deliver solutions using tracking tools such as Rally etc.

• Must have the ability to assess client needs and work collaboratively to chart a roadmap for delivery, prioritize and present work plan to client.

• Good understanding of cloud technologies and proficient in AWS

• Good working knowledge of Container and related orchestration technologies (Kubernetes and AWS ECS)

Responsibilities:

• Must have the ability to create infrastructure as code IaC (should be proficient in terraform, ansible and a good understanding of other Cloud native solutions: code pipeline etc.)

• Must have the ability to develop, debug and maintain DevSecOps pipelines using multiple tools (should be proficient in Gitlab and Jenkins)

• Should have experience setting up and maintaining tools like Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus3

• Must have experience delivering projects from requirements to delivery (planning, requirement breakdown, implementation)

• Must have experience working with application performance monitoring tools and analysis tools (experience working with Splunk, CloudWatch, AWS insights etc)

• Should have worked at all stages of DevSecOps (should be proficient with CI and CD, should have good understanding of in Continuous Monitoring and operations)

• Should have worked with security tools (knowledge of tools for container scans, application scans etc.)

• Should be a quick learner to new technologies, able to support developer issues in multiple languages (experience with scripting knowledge like bash, python and knowledge of java is must, other scripting languages is a plus)

• Should be a team player who can collaborate with other teams to help resolve issues across multiple teams.

• Should be able to work with architecture groups and cloud adoption teams to compare tools and support diverse teams.

• Should have experience working with security office, resolving vulnerabilities.

• Understanding of Ops flows and AI/ML ops tools is a nice to have.

• Must provide support to team members as needed including User Story review and feedback.

• Must deliver weekly and monthly status reports highlighting team accomplishments and achievements.

Qualification:

• A minimum of 15+ Years of Functional experience, 8 years or more as a Platform/Infrastructure Solution Architect or PaaS, IaaS Specialist.

• Eight (8) years of experience architecting all aspects of Platform Pipeline Delivery and a Clear understanding of CICM Process.

• Hands on experience with cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design, and implementations, including IaaS and PaaS.

• Experience with popular cloud technologies like AWS, Azure and GCP.

• Experience deploying applications on-premises and in cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP and also Hybrid.
