Remote School Psychologist

Location: Columbus, OH (Remote)

Description: We are seeking a talented and dedicated Remote School Psychologist to join our team and provide prehensive psychological services to students in Columbus, OH. In this remote role, you will conduct virtual assessments, collaborate with school staff and families, and support the social-emotional and academic development of students. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting positive outes for students and fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct prehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students referred for special education services, including cognitive assessments, academic achievement testing, and social-emotional assessments.

Interpret assessment results and provide remendations to support students' educational and behavioral needs, collaborating with school teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.

Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing a range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, and facilitating skill-building groups to promote positive coping strategies and social skills development.

Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to address academic and behavioral concerns, providing strategies and interventions to support student success in the classroom and at home.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings and student support team meetings, to review assessment data, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress.

Collaborate with munity agencies and outside providers to coordinate services and supports for students with plex needs, advocating for students' access to appropriate resources and interventions.

Stay current on best practices in school psychology, special education law, and evidence-based interventions, participating in professional development activities and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Educational Requirements:

Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited program.

Certifications:

Valid Ohio School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.

National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working as a school psychologist in a K-12 educational setting, preferably in a remote or virtual capacity.

Proficiency in conducting virtual assessments and providing teletherapy services using video conferencing platforms.

Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.

Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
