Job Description

Salary: $15.00 - $19.00/Hour

Family Pharmacy is seeking a friendly and well-organized individual to join our team! The ideal candidate is comfortable handling customers' inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department and is also customer-service focused. We're looking for an individual who can quickly interpret problems, accurately process prescriptions, and facilitate various insurance plans.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and pharmacy executive management. Other duties may be assigned as needed based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients.

Measure the dosage of medications according to prescription orders.

Process prescriptions using computer software.

Label and record dosage information.

Make requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.

Orders, receives, and maintains an inventory of drugs and chemicals and ensures their security.

Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.

Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.

Under the direction of the pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.

Performs general clerical duties for the department.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED certificate.

Must be Pharmacy Technician Certified

Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform light lifting (up to 15 pounds) and repetitive physical activity.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
