The Ideal Candidate has experience in one of the following therapeutic environments: residential treatment, wilderness therapy, inpatient behavioral health, or intensive outpatient. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be creative and adventurous, be a self-starter/motivator, skillfully manage multiple priorities, and work best in a team based and collaborative environment. In addition, candidates should be able to grasp and integrate EQ treatment models quickly and efficiently with their clients. This position requires team leadership, strong organizational skills, and coordination around all aspects of the youth, young adults and family programs and services.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Provide individual, some family and group therapy within the context of a highly collaborative system of care and multi-disciplinary treatment team model with youth, young adults and families.
Case management services including email and phone contact with family, schools, psychiatrists, and other professionals included on the youth’s treatment team.
Learn and apply Equinox system of care and successfully integrate into the overall treatment plan
Develop treatment plans and provide clinical leadership in the implementation and monitoring of the treatment progress.
Participate in planning and designing experiential interventions (both individual and family therapy)
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, including progress notes, treatment summaries, discharge summaries and electronic records.
Participate in team meetings, in-services, training, and supervision..
Easily able to work with others, work independently and take initiative
Position Requirements:
Required: Master's Degree with either an LSW, LPCC or MFT.
Minimum of 2 years working in a residential, wilderness, psychiatric hospitalization or intensive outpatient therapy setting as a clinician with youth and young adults with behavioral health challenges.
Must be willing/able to work some evenings
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Must pass drug test and background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Within 6 months of clinical licensure.
Experience in experiential/wilderness modalities is a plus: Including high and low ropes courses, experiential initiatives, camping and backpacking, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, biking, peak ascents, mountaineering, resort or backcountry skiing and water-based activities.
Experience or training with DBT, Trauma Informed Care, EMDR.
Experience or training in office based or outdoor experiential therapy.
