Weld Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Description

Position Summary for the Weld Technician:

We are currently hiring Weld Technician for multiple shifts for our facilities in Troy, Rochester Hills and Saint Clair Shores, MI. Starting pay is up to $33/hour.

Shift Times for the Weld Technician:

1st Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm

2nd Shift: 3:00pm to 11:30pm

3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am

Position Responsibilities of the Weld Technician:

Coordinate the process/procedures as it relates to welding for new product launches and current production

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot automated welding cells and equipment

Set up of robotic and resistance weld operations and Poke-yoke apparatus

Fixture modification and adjustments

Operate and program robotic weld cells

Assist in the training of operators on all weld cell operations

Responsible for verifying and documenting changes to process parameters

Assist Welding Engineers as needed

Read electrical schematics and other documents to assist in diagnosing and repairing machinery and equipment

Troubleshoot machinery and equipment

Other Backgrounds/titles we would also consider for this role: Robotic Technician, Machine Repair or Maintenance Technician
