Job Description

Solve IT Strategies is looking for a Controller. This role is located at Washington, DC.Hybrid

The Main Responsibilities of a person are:

Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and credit card payments.

Manage insurance applications and software renewals.

Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end closing documents.

Prepare monthly invoicing, including FAR-compliant invoices for federal clients.

Manage collections.

Set up project budgets for labor, consultants, and expenses.

Set up and manage data in Unanet system.

Maintain revenue projections.

Manage tax reporting documents and coordinate with outside accountant.

Complete quarterly tax returns

Manage IRS tax amendments (employee retention tax credits, 179D.

Manage federal regulation compliance.

Manage check requests.

Process bi-monthly payroll and taxes.

Manage monthly expense budget.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· CPA or MBA in finance is highly desirable.

· 5 years minimum accounting experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry required.

· Proficiency in Unanet, or similar accounting and project management system and willingness to learn Unanet.

· Enthusiastic learner who enjoys taking on challenges and offering solutions.

· Effective communicator and team player.
