Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, this position will be located in our Medina, OH facility identifying, leading and supporting continuous improvement projects across multiple facilities. In this role, you will analyze current policies, processes and practices and identify opportunities for process improvements, develop and propose changes and drive implementation of changes in workflows, structures, policies, processes, practices and teams (organizational structure) to ensure continuous improvement of company performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams organization wide to analyze current state and collaborate to identify areas of opportunity, participate in projects and quantify potential and actual improvements. The Continuous Improvement Manager will be knowledgeable of the latest continuous improvement methodologies and guide positive leadership principles and styles in their management duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Identify, Initiate and Lead projects leading to the improvement of business Key Performance Indicators

· Conduct root cause analysis of shortfalls, issues, customer complaints and unfavorable performance occurrences in business processes.

· Construct and execute projects from initiation (compilation of a project charter) to completion (handoff, validation, and closeout).

· Implement corrective actions to permanently resolve systematic problems.

· Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.

· Train and coach stakeholders on how continuous improvement initiatives directly connect with Spray Products business goals.

· Partner closely with our Corporate Training Manager to train, mentor, and guide organization in new processes, practices and policies.

· Implementation of new strategies consistent with defined business plan.

· Establish standards of performance to either replace existing or monitor performance where standards hadn’t previously been in place.

· Presentation of proposals, updates and final results to varying levels of the organization form staff level through executive leadership.

· Management of QMS as well as providing technical support to sales, operations, and customers.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

· A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, or operations.

· Five years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is preferred, but not required

· Familiarity with lean and six sigma methodologies, i.e. DMAIC, PDCA, 5 Whys, Capability Analysis, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant environment.

· Ability to support multiple shifts of manufacturing operation.

· Ability to travel less than 25% of the time

· Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 10 lbs.
