Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team of professionals at Master Center for Addiction Medicine who are providing outpatient treatment to persons with substance use disorders as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Glen Allen Office. Some travel to other offices for coverage needs is required. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS Standard Mileage Reimbursement rate, minus home office commute.

Master Center for Addiction Medicine is a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center based in Richmond, Virginia, and we have additional locations in Gloucester, Virginia; Hampton, Virginia; Chesterfield, Virginia; Harrisonburg, Virginia and more. Position Qualifications:

Medical Assistant Certification or graduation from accredited program preferred

CPR/First Aid Certification preferred

Experience with bloodwork and injections

Experience providing direct patient care

Two years' experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting medical provider team in taking patient histories and verifying medications and ROS

Checking and documentation of patient vital signs

Patient bloodwork

Communicating with medical providers

Working with recovery coaches and external labs to facilitate lab and bloodwork requests from providers

Working with recovery coaches to collect, document, and report Urinary Drug Screen and ETOH breathalyzer/mouth swabs

Assisting the coaches as needed in documenting patient PHI into electronic medical record

Additional responsibilities may include checking patients in and out, completing paperwork and additional Front Desk responsibilities

Other duties as assigned

This position is Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM.

This position is for Glen Allen, VA

Some travel is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: hourly rate starting at $18.00; we will consider higher wage depending on experience, credentials and education
