Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Production Managers perform tasks such as taking inventory, making supply orders, handling disputes among team members and regularly assessing safety standards in all areas. Some of their other most common duties include:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
Efficiently schedule and organize staff across production areas.
Monitoring raw material levels and communicating raw material needs to upper-management.
Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or qualitySkills and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Proven record in training employees about safety and production
Ability to coach and motivate employees
Education/Experience:
Degree in business management is advantageous
5+ years of industry-related experience
Knowledge of general business operations and human resource management
HOURS: Minimum 40 hours per week
