Roofing Service Manager

Job Description

Salary: $85,000+ DOE

Job Purpose:

The Roofing Service Manager collaborates with the Director of Service, Management, Engineers, Architects, and Clients to determine the scope and specifications of the project. They review potential projects, prepare proposals, mentor and self-perform building repairs as needed, negotiate contracts with subcontractors to reach profitable agreements. This multifaceted position focuses on meeting and exceeding customer needs and expectations by adhering to financial projections, scheduling requirements, and ensuring that projects are completed to Rice Companies quality standards in a profitable and safe manner.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary functions include, but are not limited to:

Ability to generate approved projects through networking, sales calls, and leads provided

Ability to accurately measure roofs to include roof size, pitch, height and all other existing conditions required

Works with subcontractors/suppliers to supply bids for services and materials

Provides contracts for all work and services required

Prepares accurate roofing estimates, obtains all necessary contracts/permits, materials, and equipment required

Communicates with clients on project schedules, reviewing potential impacts to business that may be present

Collaborates with Managers, Engineers, and Design staff to review existing conditions for roofing improvements required

Communicates with Lead Roofing Foreman on project scheduling, progress of projects, and material and equipment schedules

Assists Human Resources and Management with hiring, employee reviews and feedback

Prepares accurate final invoicing for clients to include all Contracts and Purchase Orders required

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary point of contact for all roofing clients

Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

May also assist with self-performing projects as needed

Assisting with transportation of equipment and materials to and from the jobsite

Safety planning & maintain OSHA requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial roofing as a Foreman or Superintendent

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manor with business owners and leaders

Comfortable in business related social settings

Experience reading and interpreting blueprints a plus

Equipment experience: scissor lift, forklift, boom lift, and skid steer. Certifications a plus

Confidence to work at heights in a safe manor

Detailed orientated, excellent organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
