Summary: VES is looking for a Finance & Administration Manager to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia location. This person will work across accounting functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and bank, fixed assets, Intercompany, and General ledger transactions. Provides information about financial activities that will assist management and its shareholders in making educated economic decisions about the company’s future. In addition, should take care of daily office administration functions..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Review and process all AP, AR invoices and bank transactions on daily basis.

Record Intercompany invoices and coordinate with all legal entities to ensure timely recording of invoices and confirm balances on monthly basis.

Coordinate with HR and processes payroll after seeking appropriate approvals.

Coordinate with Customers and Vendors for timely receipts and payments.

Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations on monthly basis.

Prepare cash flow in coordination with county director, procurement, and logistics.

Maintains all accruals for non-PO items, employee benefits and ensures that they are in line with local labor laws.

Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives.

Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of reporting. Prepares financial management reports including, internal and external monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

Leads the preparation and coordination of financial audits and assisting auditors during the audit.

Coordinates with external tax preparation firm to verify tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all tax returns.

Prepares financial reports of the company with the assistance of the Financial Controller.

Performs daily and routine office Administration tasks.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial, or closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor laws.

Strong working knowledge of the general ledger.

Business knowledge to provide insights and to pose questions with a report or analysis.

Knowledge of federal, state, and income tax specific filing requirements including analysis of tax-sensitive accounts and calculating income tax adjustments, depreciation, and state apportionment.

Working knowledge of accounting procedures and standards

General knowledge of Local tax laws, IFRS, GAAP, and SOX requirements.

SAP or similar ERP experience preferable.
