Welder

Sierra Peaks is hiring for a Welder for our Lemon Grove, CA location. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings to produce finished products. Welders should be able to weld a variety of sheet metal products in various methods. Each technician is responsible for ensuring quality products in conformance with our Quality Management System.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform assigned welding tasks with or without supervision

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings

Follow and look up weld procedures, drawings, and instructions

Operate measuring instruments and machines

Inspect work intermittently to ensure quality

Other duties as assigned

Experience:

GMAW (hard wire) on carbon steel experience is required

Experience with weld procedures and symbols is required

FCAW (flux core) and GTAW (tig) welding is preferred

GMAW (hard wire) on metals other than carbon steels is preferred

Experience with government contracts and the maritime industry is preferred

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test
