This role involves a blend of strategic sales initiatives, customer relationship management, and collaboration with technical teams to align product offerings with market needs. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects of this role:

Responsibilities

Sales and Market Expansion: Your primary responsibility is to drive the sales of Impulse’s in-space transportation services. This involves identifying potential customers within the SATCOM market, generating and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. You'll be focusing on satellite operators and manufacturers, particularly those involved with Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellites

Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is crucial. You'll need to understand their requirements deeply and ensure that Impulse’s services align with their needs. This includes regular follow-ups, addressing concerns, and providing creative solutions

Collaboration with Technical Teams: Working closely with product and engineering teams is essential to ensure that Impulse’s offerings meet the evolving needs of the SATCOM market

Industry Representation: As a company ambassador, you'll represent Impulse at various industry forums, including conferences, trade shows, and meetings with executives of major companies. Your role is to build Impulse’s brand and establish it as a leader in in-space transportation services

Travel: The role requires traveling 20-40% of the time to meet with customers, attend industry events, and engage with stakeholders across different geographies

Minimum Qualifications

Commercial Contracting: Proven track record of identifying, initiating, and closing complex commercial contracts. Must have strong negotiation skills

Technical Collaboration: Experience in working closely with technical teams for proposal generation and product development

Industry Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated sales experience within the aerospace or related industries is required, with a GEO and MEO focus of high preference

Preferred Skills and Experience

SATCOM Market Expertise: A strong understanding and network within the commercial satellite market, especially in GEO and MEO, is highly desirable. This includes familiarity with the GEO telecom market, micro-GEO trends, GEO/GTO launch services, and cis-lunar commercial applications

Start-up Life: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment is crucial. This means you are proactive, resilient, and adaptable to change

Interpersonal and Presentation Skills: Strong skills in communication and presentation are necessary

Education: An advanced degree in a business or engineering-focused field is preferred
