Retail Associate – Haircare, skincare, and Aveda products!

Do you love beauty, fashion, and the salon industry? Are you passionate about providing great customer service and making retail recommendations? If so, we have the job for you!

At Douglas J Aveda Institutes & Salons we are seeking a Guest Services Associate to help us ensure our guests have the best experience possible.

Our trendy, downtown locations:

Michigan: Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Grand Rapids, Rochester Hills, and Royal Oak

Illinois: Chicago, near the Lincoln Park area

Tennessee: Knoxville

About the position:

We’re seeking a Guest Services Associate who enjoys making our guests’ day exceptional. You will help cultivate our guests’ experience by:

Providing a smooth check in and check out from their service(s)

Managing guest flow throughout the day

Assisting with retail recommendations and purchases

Performing Aveda Rituals of Renewal, such as the hand and arm massage

Reserving all guest appointments by providing knowledge of services offered, booking times, and prices

Confirm all guest appointments to remind them of their appointmentQualifications

What we’re looking for:

This is a permanent ongoing role, including the summer months. Open to full-time or part-time.

Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including a combination of days, evenings and weekends

A serving heart and a charismatic, approachable personality

Starts at $14.00/hr, with opportunities for bonuses

High level of comfort using computers and a cash register, with the ability to learn new systems efficiently and effectively

An extremely organized and detail-oriented person

A team player who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
