Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the architectural design of AI-enhanced applications, focusing on creating scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Collaborate with project managers, .NET developers, SharePoint admins, and cloud engineers to define technical requirements, assess potential AI integration points, and determine architectural approaches that align with business goals.

Define and maintain architectural standards and practices for AI application development, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering, AI integration, and cloud deployment.

Evaluate and recommend Azure AI services and tools (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning) that best fit the project requirements and organizational objectives.

Oversee the development and implementation of AI models, ensuring they are effectively integrated into application solutions, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Act as a technical mentor for the development team, providing guidance on AI technologies, architectural best practices, and advanced problem-solving techniques.

Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in AI, machine learning, and cloud architectures, ensuring our application development strategies remain innovative and competitive.

Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex architectural concepts into understandable terms and demonstrating the business value of AI-enhanced applications.

Required:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, AI, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on software architecture and design.

Extensive experience in application architecture and development, specifically with .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET) and Microsoft SharePoint.

Proven expertise in AI and machine learning, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using Azure AI services.

Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure, with experience in deploying scalable, high-availability applications in Azure.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team of developers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A deep understanding of software engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and design principles, particularly as they relate to integrating AI into applications.

Agile/Scrum methodology experience, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,700.00 to $163,300.00 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
