Industrial Sewing Specialist
Use of Industrial Sewing Machines for Custom Design
PrideStaff is actively working with a client to add to their busy and growing team!
Their needs have expanded to add an additional industrial sewer for their customer product line. If you are skilled working with sewing machinery and enjoy working with your hands, this is an opportunity to produce top of the line product!
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Preparation, fabrication and assembly of fabric materials and components using various types of machinery and hand tools including: cutting devices, scissors, sewing machines, knifes, surge machines. Ability to run multiple machines within work area. Must have the ability to operate low and high speed industrial sewing machine(s) and have general knowledge and understanding of machine(s).
Must have the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written direction(s).
Must have the ability to read and understand measuring devices, job work orders and how that will relate to the cutting and sewing of materials in accordance to specific patterns and the inspection of materials and products being sewn.
Must keep all parts together and keep track of all paperwork and parts that stay together.
Must be able to keep records of products sewn.
Must pay attention to details on the patterns in an effort to complete the assignment with a minimum of scrap errors
Must be flexible to be cross trained in other department(s) if required.
Must be able to work in a team environment to meet department goals.

Job Requirements
Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble projects.
Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
Wrist-Finger Speed - The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
Must be comfortable asking questions in order to successfully master each varying task.
MUST be familiar with industrial sewing machines and/or comfortable with standard machines and comfortable adapting to various machinery.
Experience with heavy textile is imperative
Must be able to move and manage bolts of materials comfortably and safely

Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
Must have recent work experience in similar environment
Must have own means of transportation
Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
