Responsibilities for picker

• Picking items based on warehouse management system directions via picking cart or powered industrial equipment such as a forklift or cherry picker

• Pick materials and merchandise and stack them to assigned places

• Stow away parts to correct departments

• Process orders for outbound shipment

• General warehouse duties as instructed

• Develop a routine for better efficiency of picking and supplying parts to the assembly operators

• Fill out production control sheets on an hourly basis

• Create work orders, and print bill of materials

• Print appropriate quantity and type of labels

Qualifications for picker

• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds occasionally

• Must have a strong sense of urgency and direction

• Previous forklift experience is a plus

• Be willing to submit to screenings

• Be able to stand, bend and lift consistently throughout shift
