Title: Pharmacy Operations Manager

Location: Mobile, AL

Responsibilities:

Assist the director in holding 24-hour accountability for the operation of the hospital pharmacy.

Manage department scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.

Assist the director in personnel functions, including recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations, counseling, and education.

Monitor the work performance of staff and advise the Pharmacy Director on performance issues and progress of new staff members.

Ensure pliance with USP 797/800 standards and assist the pliance Manager in ensuring processes are followed appropriately.

Evaluate workflow of the pharmacy and devise strategies for efficiency.

Initiate and implement quality improvement projects in the pharmacy.

Oversee pharmacy inventory and work with the Pharmacy Purchaser to ensure that products and supplies are sufficient to meet department and hospital demands.

Represent the department in mittee meetings as assigned.

Interact frequently with the Health System Information Systems department to manage pharmacy-related systems effectively.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm. D. required.

Five years of pharmacy experience, with at least one year in a hospital setting.

Management experience is highly preferred.
