HR Generalist II Summary: Perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, recruiting/hiring, compensation, benefits, HRIS administration, and reporting.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations involving personnel matters.Work closely with all levels of management to create a trusting and supportive relationship between HR and the business lines.

Duties: * Manage FMLA, ADA, and other leave of absence processes in adherence with federal, state and local regulations.

* Manage progressive disciplinary action process, including terminations as appropriate.

* Investigate, document, escalate and resolve employee relations and harassment or discrimination issues.

* Manage the Workers' Compensation injury claims process, ensuring claims are valid and processed accurately.

* Maintain accurate employee files.

* Assist with benefit administration tasks in accordance with the SPS benefit plan.

* Assist with recruiting and hiring processes in adherence with federal, state, and local regulations.

* Assist with I-9 employment eligibility verifications, as needed.

* Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HR reports, as needed.

* Maintain the Human Resources policies and procedures for departments within Select Portfolio Servicing.

* Conduct exit interview meetings and provide feedback to management, as appropriate.

* Assist employees with HR related questions and requests in adherence with HR policy and procedures.

* Collaborate with and educate management on performance management and employment law.

* Manage the unemployment claims appeal process, as needed.

* Assist with other HR duties, as necessary.

Specs: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

* 3+ years employee relations, reporting, benefits administration and/or leave management experience.

* Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws, policies and procedures.

* Strong ability to build collaborative relationships.

* Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.

* Strong and effective written and oral communication skills.

* Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities at once.

* Proficient in Word and Excel and familiar with HRIS systems.
