Store Operations Communications and Support Manager

FUNCTION OF THE JOB

The Store Operations Support and Communications Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide clear communication to stores in order to support strategic company initiatives. This position will also be involved in leading special projects for the store operations team that support legendary results in stores. The ideal candidate will be eager to tackle the challenges of communication using innovative and effective avenues that will engage our field teams and promote consistent results across all stores. The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications is a must.

INTERACTION:

Reports directly to the Sr Store Operations Support Manager.

Partners with all areas of the business to develop documentation and presentations to support field and store teams.

Extensive interaction with executives, field leaders, store teams, and internal partners/teams

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops communication strategies to deliver a consistent, targeted and impactful messages to the field through innovative channels.

Will lead and manage special projects for the store operations team that will drive legendary guest service experiences in stores.

Creates communication initiatives using innovative technology.

Builds and maintains solid partnerships with internal and external partners to develop, direct, and facilitate strategic communications and operations.

Develops strategies that translate organizational goals into meaningful, compelling communications to target audiences.

Leads, motivates and inspires field leadership team on the ‘Be the Community Connection’ charitable giving initiative.

Supports communication of new store growth and other real estate projects through inspirational communication.

Leads guest experience initiatives through program implementation, results analysis, tracking and communication.

Creates engaging and compelling communication channels and manages the document repository (Outlet Online/Facts and Stats) to ensure accurate information is available for the store and field teams.

Leads meetings to support operations and communication strategies.

Acts as “Gatekeeper” to ensure business critical communication is vetted prior to delivery to stores.

Leads the organization of the annual meeting and other corporate events.

Finds opportunities within areas of responsibility to align all business units as One Bealls.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year or four-year degree preferred in related field – such as: Communications, Business, or Marketing.

Minimum of three years retail experience preferred, with a proven track record of continuously increasing responsibilities

Strong leadership, organization and planning skills

Effective communicator both in oral and written form

Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as needed

Strategic thinker able to take ownership of assigned projects

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across all business units

Excellent verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills

Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Professional.

Ability to travel and must possess valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 20 pounds.

Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching).

Must work a minimum of 5 days per week. Occasionally additional days or time may be required (ex. Travel, Holiday season)
