Founded about 10 years ago with offices across the globe is looking to expand its Finance and Accounting team and hire a Contract to Hire Assistant Controller to join the VP of Finance.

Our rapidly growing technology company is seeking an experienced Consulting Assistant Controller in a contract-to-hire basis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial health of our organization by creating financial reports, direct investment activities, and implementing strategies for long-term financial goals. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow analysis, and forecasts.

2. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

3. Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

4. Coordinate and execute the year-end close process and liaise with external auditors.

5. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

6. Collaborate with other department leaders to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.

7. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.

8. Stay up-to-date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.

9. Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2. CPA required

3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the technology industry.

4. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

5. Experience in strategic planning and execution, including the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

6. Proficiency in accounting software and related technologies for financial analysis and reporting.

7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the company.

8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
