Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Covington, LA

Hourly Rate: $17/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Covington, LA. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.

Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding issues.

Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment schedules.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.

Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve inquiries and issues.

Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.

Proven experience in accounts payable or related role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Experience with accounting software; knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
