Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer is a New York-based law firm, seeking a full-time Billing Associate. This position will be in a collaborative work environment with a competitive compensation package. The Billing Associate will work with the partners and attorneys to edit, prepare and generate client invoices accurately and timely. The Billing Assistant must have experience with time management programs and electronic billing systems. The Billing Assistant must able to conduct research to resolve billing issues with the carrier and other parties in an effective and timely manner. This position is full-time, 40-hours a week.

Responsibilities

•Must have experience with time management programs and electronic billing systems

•Prepare, edit and submit client invoices on a monthly schedule or on demand using SageTimeSlips/electronic billing software platform.

• Respond quickly to attorney requests, both written and verbal, for new or updated invoices

• Communicate with attorneys and accounting staff often about invoice status

• Submit bills electronically as needed

•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Experience in regards to editing, preparing and processing attorney’s invoices accurately and timely as well as conduct research to resolve billing issues

• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize tasks

• Detail-oriented, attentive and conscientious; must be able to pay attention to a variety of elements, double-check and proofread invoices

• Excellent written and verbal skills; must be able to communicate professionally

• Team player - must be willing to work with and assist other staff members in accomplishing assignments

• Strong computer skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and electronic billing programs

Salary range is $40,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience.
