Job Description

Our CPA firm has been serving the Southwest Florida (Sarasota) community for over 60 years. We are seeking an experienced receptionist to join our team! The candidate would ideally have some job experience in the accounting industry.

Duties:

· Administration of the front desk reception area.

· Answering phones, directing incoming calls, scheduling office and zoom appointments.

· Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them accordingly.

· Work in reception to receive documents from clients dropping off, handle picking-up up of documents, verify client tax payments and vouchers.

· Update project management with the receipt of tax documents from clients for work to be checked-in.

· Filing / Retrieving Files, Archive file drawers and re-label as needed. Organize files for meetings and checked-in projects.

· Certified mail transmittal forms, Filing of Mail Delivery Receipt (Green Cards) in binder (as received back in mail) (As Needed). Sorting incoming mail to staff

· Backup to processing credit card and check payments. Backup for billing and processing tax returns.

· Other miscellaneous tasks as needed helping the administrative staff in the front offices.

Requirements:

· Business Casual Attire, Professional language, Well-Organized

· Supports continuity among co-workers by documenting filing sorting content thoroughly.

· Multitasking, customer focused, Excellent verbal and written skills

· Work in fast paced environment. Strong ability to listen and follow directions.

· Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Education: Professional office work history a plus

· Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to learn other software programs used within the office to complete job tasks.

· Ability to learn new tasks and organize notes for procedures.

· Strong familiarity & work experience in a professional office setting, preference to accounting firm experience.

Availability

· Weekdays; Monday - Friday; 9am to 5pm

Compensation

· Full-time, 40 hours per week, will discuss specifics.

· Compensation range: $14-$18/hr based on experience.
