WHY WE’RE HERE:

The Robotics team at Anduril develops and integrates software into aerial, ground and maritime based robotic systems. The team is responsible for taking both existing products (e.g., Ghost, Anvil, Dive, etc) and clean sheet designs from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with internal teams like Perception, Autonomy, and Manufacturing as well as third party UXV developers to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers and roboticists excited about building, augmenting, and deploying our robust robotics stack onto mission critical platforms that include computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications.

THE TEAM:

WHAT IS AIS?

Anduril Intelligence Systems is one of Anduril’s Business Lines and is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for intelligence community customers. We work with IC customers to understand their requirements, shape their concepts of operation, and delivery exquisite capability across their problem set. We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers’ most difficult technology requirements.

WHAT YOU"LL DO:

Write and maintain core libraries (frame transformations, targeting and guidance, etc.) that all robotics platforms at Anduril will use

Select, assess and integrate both hardware and software for various sensors/payloads into both Anduril/non-Anduril UXVs/systems

Own major feature development and rollout of large features for our products - recent examples include building a Software-in-the-Loop simulator for our Anvil product and characterizing and improving Ghost helicopter battery consumption with route planning

Prototyping designs closely with our hardware and manufacturing teams and during product development, providing quick feedback that contributes to the final hardware build

Deploy, test and field these solutions at various Anduril and government owned ranges/sites based on customer needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization

Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems

Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems

Strong C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment

Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in one or more of the following: motion planning, perception, localization, mapping, controls, simulation, and related system performance metrics

Python, Rust, and/or C++ experience

Experience programming for embedded and physical devices

Multi-agent coordination of UAVs

Complex frame transformation problems, such as target localization or multi degree of freedom robotic arms

Experience building Mission Systems for drones or other autonomous vehicles

US Salary Range

$132,000—$260,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
