Position Overview

Benefit Quest is seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our growing team. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing strategic guidance on benefit offerings, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. This role requires a strong understanding of individual and employee benefits, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering value to clients. The Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement effective strategies that enhance the overall experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Benefits

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing their benefit-related inquiries and providing ongoing support. This includes enrollments, terminations, COBRA, claims guidance, coverage inquiries, communication, and employee education initiatives.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their benefits offerings and improve employee satisfaction. For example, COBRA admin, HR resources, benefits admin software.

Individual Benefits

Manage individual and international travel book of business. This includes sales, implementation, ongoing support and renewal.

Conduct strategic planning sessions to assess their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

Employee Benefits and Individual Benefits

Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure clients remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Prepare and deliver presentations to clients on topics such as benefit plan design, cost containment strategies, and wellness initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions in agency management system and manage all aspects of client accounts, including application, renewals and inquiries.

Develop and execute strategic plans and procedures for the benefits department in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.

Work closely with internal team to drive innovation and continuous improvement in benefits administration processes. Process improvement and efficiencies should be identified, solved and implemented.

Identify opportunities for cross selling additional services or products offered by other departments within agency.

Qualifications

Current Life and Health license.

3-5+ years experience in employee benefits and account management.

Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry products and offerings.

Strong computer and technology skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

Demonstrated self-discipline, accountability, and independence in a remote work environment.
