Robert Half is looking for a talented Desktop Support Technician who is able to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an easily understandable and concise format for a company in the Machinery Manufacturing industry. Problem solvers who enjoy working in a challenging and positive environment may do well in this Desktop Support Technician position. Located in the Verona, Virginia, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / temporary to hire in nature.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Administer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Settle computer problems, and offer suggestions on appropriate action/solutions- Solid understanding of Network Administration
- Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
