The Financial Analyst is responsible for daily and monthly management reporting, analyzing and presenting financial performance for the different business functions across the organization. This role works with various data to support leaderships financial decision making, provides insightful recommendations and ideas for process improvement.

What you’ll do:

Prepare timely, insightful, actionable, and accurate, financial reporting and analysis of performance per the internal submission schedule.

Prepare monthly & quarterly schedules to facilitate month/quarter end reviews, ensuring financial information is accurately and appropriately stated.

Assist with the development of daily/weekly/monthly reporting and forecasting, annual plans and financial outlooks for the different business units of the company.

Prepare monthly reports and dashboards, with commentary versus Plan and Prior Year.

Assist with data loading and cleanup during the annual planning and forecast seasons.

Assist with building hi-fidelity operational financial reports, models & dashboards for the business.

Provide recommendations for process improvements in reporting and analysis.

Ongoing review of metadata structure in the financial systems (Hyperion Planning, HFM, Workday).

Ad Hoc analysis as necessary to facilitate decision making.

What you need to succeed

Must-have:

Bachelor’s degree finance or accounting.

Understanding of basic organizational planning / reporting processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and charts)

Good verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to all stakeholders including senior leadership

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Nice-to-have

1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, variance analysis, and budgeting/forecasting.

Working knowledge of financial software (PeopleSoft, Cognos, HFM, Workday)

CPA or working towards one

Data analysis experience
