Department: Production Position Summary To facilitate the building of sets and scenic elements for the Broadway production's season.

Assist in set up and strike of other Tuacahn productions.

Essential Functions Under the direction of the Assistant Technical Director and Shop Foreman assist in the building and construction and scenic element as needed.

To uphold Tuacahn's production department policy and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Assist in set up and strike of other Tuacahn productions.

Operate in a safe and professional manner at all times.

Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude at all times Weld and fabricate steel construction from drawings and verbal direction.

Cut and shape wood sheeting and lumber products from drawings and verbal direction.

Assist in the set up and tear down of concert and special events as needed.

Assist in the waterproofing and base painting of scenic elements as needed.

Additional assignments as required for all Tuacahn productions.

Qualifications Knowledge and passion for live theater, educational experience and diplomas are a plus.

A can do attitude and ability to complete assignments in a safe and efficient manner.

Knowledge and skill of MIG & TIG welding.

Ability to shape and fabricate tube and sheet steel.

Knowledge of associated metal fabricating tools.

Knowledge and skill of wood and carpentry techniques.

Ability to apply sheet goods and cut and fasten stick lumber.

Knowledge of associated carpentry tools.

Knowledge and skill with painting and painting techniques.

Primarily Goop & base painting.

Knowledge of associated painting tools.

Skills/Abilities Ability to take directions and work well with others.

Ability to maintain a safe and clean work space Ability to work in an efficient and time sensitive environment.

Ability to achieve desired results without extensive supervision.

Ability to work weekends and nights is a must.

Passion and desire for live theater and scenic construction.
