Substance Abuse Counselor

Job Description

Salary: $25 - $30 / hr

New Method Wellness is seeking a qualified substance use disorder counselor who is caring, kind, and organized to work as a dual diagnosis counselor who can lead groups, process individual counseling, and complete and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

Proficient in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Applications

Utilize computer applications to complete counseling notes

Develop treatment plans for clients in counseling services

Create and lead quality groups and submit progress and individual notes in a timely manner.

Conduct individual therapy sessions as authorized

Complete intakes, biopsychosocials and UAs

Complete Discharge Summaries

Fulfill other clinical responsibilities as directed by the Clinical Director

Qualifications

State of California Substance Abuse Certification

Substance Abuse Counseling: 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Day shift

Holidays

Monday to Friday

Weekend availability when required
